I started this blog to encourage others to read more. They say that if you can't afford to travel, read a book. These books have taken me all over the US, Australia, Ireland and Britain. I have learned about folk lore, mythology, and many different cultures. Books are my escape from a world that is full of unhappiness. The authors on this blog have become my tour guides. I appreciate the hard work that they put into the research that goes into each and every book.

LUCIA ASHTA - DRAGON FORCE
Hunted and forced to hide from her own people.
Seventeen-year-old Anira was born a twin, a fact that would have led to her death if she hadn’t also been born invisible.
Every day of her life, she’s forced to hide to protect the secret of who she is while her twin gets to lead the life she can’t. She has no purpose beyond her own survival.
Then Anira discovers that their chieftain is a sorcerer who’s draining the tribe’s power and keeping it for himself. He intends to drain the magic from the dragons next. Protecting the dragons is her people’s most sacred calling.
The chieftain has everyone enchanted into believing he’s their savior. But not Anira. He can’t bewitch her when he doesn’t realize she exists.
For the first time, Anira has a purpose. She vows to stop the chieftain and save her tribe and the dragons. She’s the only one who can.
For if she fails, there will be no one left to prevent the chieftain from claiming the dragons’ magic. It’s what he’s counting on.
But he doesn’t expect Anira. No one ever does.
If she reveals herself, she dies. If she doesn’t, her tribe—and the dragons it protects—will suffer a worse fate.
Nothing has been easy for Anira since the day she was born an invisible twin, a fact which makes her doubly forbidden. Now she understands that the chieftain forbade magic only so he could steal the power from her tribe and use it against the dragons. She vows to stop the chieftain.
But she can’t stop him alone. She needs the dragons to take him down, and she can’t end up one of their mid-morning snacks.
The elite team of the Dragon Force has been working with the dragons for generations. To enlist the force’s help, she’ll need to reveal who she is, the one thing she’s worked all her life to avoid.
But when the only way to protect those she loves is to sacrifice herself, not even her twin can hold her back.
Especially not when she’s the secret weapon they’ll use to defeat the chieftain
The hunted becomes the hunter.
Anira is part of the Dragon Force, whose purpose is to protect the dragons, sacred to their people.
The chieftain of their tribe intends to steal the power of the dragons, and keep it for himself. Now he’s allied with shadow people, who ride the dragons—something none of the force has managed to do.
Stopping the chieftain before he succeeds in destroying her tribe is more urgent than ever. He’s only getting stronger.
But so is Anira. With the elite members of the force on her side, and with unexpected emerging powers, she has a chance at taking down the chieftain.
He forbade magic to prevent people like her.
Well, she’s about to give the chieftain a real reason to fear her.
